Grass Valley Charter School is open to any student living in Nevada, Placer, Yuba or Sierra counties. Students will be considered for admission without regard to ethnicity, national origin, gender, or disability. The application process is as follows:

Lottery (priority status is given to siblings of existing students and those enrolled in other GVCS programs)
Intake conference for middle school transfer students
Prior to being admitted into the GVCS, students and parents will be required to:
Understand the charter school's philosophies and growth areas
Select the student’s educational program or option
Sign and agree to abide by the Charter School Agreement
Agree to abide by the guidelines set forth in the Charter School Parent/Student Handbook
The timeline for enrollment for the 2012/13 school year is as follows:
Open enrollment for next school year (2012/13) for continuing March 2
Core students, their siblings, and other GV Charter students
and their siblings
Close re-enrollment for 2012/13 school year for continuing Core March 16
students, their
Close priority enrollment for 2012/13 school year for Core siblings March 16
and other GV Charter students and their siblings
Close Core enrollment for the current school year (11/12) March 23
Open new student enrollment for the 2012/13 school year March 23
Kindergarten Roundup registration March 23
Place continuing students followed by their siblings and other April 13
students of GV Charter School and their siblings

*Registration packets must be turned in the school day prior to each lottery draw to be considered for that lottery draw.
