New for 2011-12: Our middle school has moved their classrooms to our east campus (on Hennessy's site).
Welcome to an exciting school year!
Not only do we welcome two new teachers, Scott Maddock and Brandon Breckenridge, we welcome new students in our sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classes. The middle school is excited to be moved into our school’s East Campus at Hennessy. Our Discovery Studies Home Study students will be at the East Campus on Thursdays.
Other changes include new teachers for Geometry/Algebra II, PE/Health, and Computers. We are thrilled to continue with Bri and Joe as our dance instruction team. To round out the staff, Bobbie, Lisa W., Colleen, Saskia, and Dot will support us. Mr. Maddock will be taking on administrative duties including Student Council and Athletics. Mr. Martinez will remain the principal at both sites and we are looking forward to having him on site throughout the week.
Our middle school will begin the year with individual class crew building, as well as whole Middle School Crew, creating a culture of compassion, where diversity is honored and encouraged, and responsibility and integrity are keys to individual and group success. Then, we will embark on our expeditions. Lisa and Brandon have a wonderful expedition planned for their classes. Cynthia and Mr. Maddock have a fabulous expedition planned, as well. We don’t want to share many details right now! Just know, they are rich and deep and sure to stretch your brain “muscle.”
Welcome one and all to what is sure to be an awesome year. Be sure to bring snack, a hearty lunch or lunch money, and a water bottle to school on the first day!

Drop Off and Pick Up Info
Please do not arrive prior to 8 AM, as there will not be any supervision. Drop off at the Henessy/Charter gate behind the Veterans’ Memorial Building on South Auburn Street. You can also park in school specific spaces in the Vets’ lot and walk your child onto campus. There is also parking on the street and in the Park and Ride under the overpass.
Pick-up will be at the same location. Drive into the Vets’ parking lot from South Auburn Street. We would love to run it as a drive-thru pick-up similar to our old site.
