Lisa Alexander: Second and Third Grade

Lisa Alexander teaches the 2nd/3rd grade class. She takes great pride in the fact that she was raised within the Grass Valley School District and is a graduate of Nevada Union High School.
Lisa has enjoyed being part our school’s history; she has been here since the inception of our Core Program and has been a part of the design and planning of the framework of our school. "I love the intimate setting which is valued by all. I treasure the small school, small town, family feel that we’ve managed to sustain through tremendous growth."
Lisa has always appreciated teaching in a self-contained project-based classroom. The incorporation of Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound has not only added incredible validation and support for what she loves to do, it has enhanced the learning by adding many valuable components (service, fieldwork, adventure, character development and design principles). "I truly appreciate the history I share within this district and this school. The charter staff shares a common thread of creating a safe place where students are appreciated and become life-long learners."
