Cynthia Grapel: Seventh and Eighth Grades

"I was so moved by the experiences I had in the classroom as a parent volunteer and instructional aide that I decided to further my education. " She anticipates many years educating and encouraging our community’s children.
Cynthia sees the highlight of teaching as the nurturing of students and watching them flourish as they become more confident and capable in the classroom and out in the real world. "You get to experience those ah-hah moments with children. You get to watch them shine. They take those exceptional moments with them into the world-at-large."
Cynthia states, "Charter provides for a strong community atmosphere. Students feel safe to explore and grow toward their full-potential." As parents, Gene and Cynthia chose Grass Valley Charter as a place where their children could best learn about life inside and outside the classroom. The parent-student-teacher triad is an integral part of the Charter community. Each aspect of the triad is valued and respected. "Learning is fun for the whole family at Charter," Cynthia concludes.
